Fee & Refund Policy

Clear terms for our administrative and processing fees

Please read this policy carefully before submitting any payment. It explains what our fees are, what they cover, and why they are non-refundable.

All fees collected by the Romeo Community Housing Initiative Foundation are non-refundable administrative and processing fees. They are not deposits, rent, reservations, or guarantees of housing or employment.

What fees we collect

  • Housing Interest Waitlist fee — $5. A one-time, non-refundable administrative fee to register your interest on our housing waitlist.
  • Employment Application fee — $25. A flat, non-refundable processing fee to submit an application for a role (one role per application).

What these fees cover

These fees help offset the real administrative cost of receiving, reviewing, and managing submissions while the Foundation is in an early, largely volunteer-run stage. They allow us to keep our intake systems running responsibly.

Why they are non-refundable

Because the fee pays for processing that happens as soon as your submission is received, it is non-refundable once paid — regardless of the outcome of your waitlist registration or application. Paying a fee does not guarantee housing, placement, an interview, or employment, and does not reserve any home or position.

Duplicate or erroneous charges

If you believe you were charged more than once in error, or were charged due to a clear technical error, contact us within 30 days at [email protected] and we will review the transaction. Verified duplicate/erroneous charges may be refunded at our discretion.
