Roles We Need Now

During our startup phase, these roles — often volunteer, contract, or part-time — move the mission forward and help us reach our first groundbreaking.

The salary ranges shown reflect fair, market-rate compensation for each role in the Denver area — what we believe this work is worth. As an early-stage nonprofit, many of these positions begin as volunteer, stipend, or contract roles and grow into funded, salaried positions as grants and donations come in. We are committed to paying people fairly as we grow.

Grant Writer

$60,000 – $85,000 / yr

Research and write grant proposals to fund our first community.

Qualifications

  • Strong writing and research skills
  • Experience with grant or proposal writing preferred
  • Detail-oriented and deadline-driven
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Development & Fundraising

$60,000 – $85,000 / yr

Build donor relationships and lead fundraising campaigns.

Qualifications

  • Background in fundraising, sales, or relationship management
  • Excellent communication and networking skills
  • Comfort with donor outreach and events
  • Nonprofit experience a plus

Operations & Admin

$50,000 – $70,000 / yr

Keep day-to-day operations and planning organized and on track.

Qualifications

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Proficiency with office and productivity tools
  • Self-starter who can juggle multiple priorities
  • Administrative experience preferred

Marketing & Communications

$55,000 – $75,000 / yr

Tell our story across web, social, and outreach materials.

Qualifications

  • Experience in marketing, social media, or content creation
  • Strong writing and visual storytelling skills
  • Familiarity with design or social tools
  • Portfolio or work samples a plus

Community Outreach

$45,000 – $65,000 / yr

Connect with partners, residents, and local stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Excellent interpersonal and public-speaking skills
  • Ties to or knowledge of Colorado communities
  • Comfortable building partnerships
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus

Finance & Bookkeeping

$55,000 – $75,000 / yr

Maintain transparent, accurate nonprofit financial records.

Qualifications

  • Bookkeeping or accounting experience
  • Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks)
  • Knowledge of nonprofit finance a plus
  • High accuracy and integrity

Legal & Compliance

$80,000 – $120,000 / yr

Guide governance, contracts, and nonprofit compliance.

Qualifications

  • Legal background or paralegal experience
  • Knowledge of nonprofit / 501(c)(3) compliance preferred
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Licensed attorney a plus

Real Estate & Land

$70,000 – $100,000 / yr

Identify and evaluate land and development opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Experience in real estate, land use, or development
  • Understanding of zoning and entitlements a plus
  • Analytical and negotiation skills
  • Colorado market knowledge preferred

As our first community is built and opens its doors, we'll be hiring across construction, community life, and family-support roles.

Construction Project Manager

$95,000 – $140,000 / yr

Oversee site development and home construction.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in construction or project management
  • Knowledge of residential building processes
  • Budget, schedule, and crew coordination skills
  • Relevant certifications or degree a plus

Skilled Trades

$55,000 – $85,000 / yr

Carpentry, electrical, plumbing, tile, and finish work.

Qualifications

  • Licensed or experienced in a skilled trade
  • Safety-conscious and reliable
  • Ability to read plans and specs
  • Valid licenses where required

Renewable Energy Technician

$50,000 – $75,000 / yr

Install and maintain on-site energy and resilience systems.

Qualifications

  • Training in renewable or electrical systems
  • Hands-on installation and maintenance experience
  • Safety certification preferred
  • Willingness to learn emerging technologies

Property & Community Manager

$55,000 – $80,000 / yr

Manage homes, residents, and day-to-day community life.

Qualifications

  • Property or community management experience
  • Strong people and conflict-resolution skills
  • Organized and responsive
  • Knowledge of housing regulations a plus

Family Services & Case Management

$48,000 – $70,000 / yr

Support families with resources and stability planning.

Qualifications

  • Background in social work or case management
  • Empathy and strong communication skills
  • Knowledge of community resources
  • Relevant degree or certification preferred

Childcare & Early Learning

$38,000 – $55,000 / yr

Staff on-site childcare and early-learning programs.

Qualifications

  • Experience in childcare or early education
  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willing to obtain)
  • Patience and a nurturing approach
  • Early childhood credential a plus

Wellness & Health Programs

$50,000 – $70,000 / yr

Coordinate wellness, fitness, and health offerings.

Qualifications

  • Background in health, fitness, or wellness
  • Program coordination experience
  • Relevant certifications a plus
  • Passion for community well-being

Learning Center Instructors

$45,000 – $70,000 / yr

Lead education and skills programs for all ages.

Qualifications

  • Teaching, tutoring, or training experience
  • Strong communication and patience
  • Subject-matter expertise in a useful field
  • Teaching credential a plus

Maintenance & Grounds

$40,000 – $58,000 / yr

Care for shared spaces, landscaping, and facilities.

Qualifications

  • Facilities or grounds-keeping experience
  • Handy with basic repairs and equipment
  • Reliable and detail-oriented
  • Valid driver’s license preferred
