Software, documentation, branding, data, and third-party assets require different permissions.
Evidence safeguard: proposals, pilots, engineering-dependent systems, legal-review items, verified standards, and rejected claims remain visibly distinct.
Documentation
A Creative Commons license may support reuse with attribution while protecting excluded confidential or third-party material.
Name & Marks
Open-source permission does not automatically grant use of the Foundation name, phoenix identity, certification claims, or endorsement.
Data & Assets
Resident data is never “open.” Each dataset, image, font, research source, and third-party component retains its own rights and restrictions.
